Prescott, Laughlin, Barstow & Back

Prescott to Laughlin, Mojave Trail to Barstow, back to Laughlin & home. Two nights in Laughlin, very cheap & one night in Barstow. November 13,14,15,16th. Slab, rocks, sand, & whoops? :eek1 Need to be street legal & 150-200 fuel range. No support crew, carry what you need:huh Lots more fun this way Five riders max with no permit required on Mojave Trail. More than five permit required, $50 for a permit.

You forgot whoops, rocky whoops, sandy rocky whoops, and lots of other great conditions.

The Mojave Trail is a great ride. Don't worry about a permit, it's not like you're actually going to run into one of the handful of rangers that cover the entire Mojave Preserve.

Keep an eye on the weather to see if the dry lake is dry or not.

Didn't mention the whoops, thought I might scare off some folks:eek1 Did run into a Ranger a few years back on a weekend with a group of about 10 riders. Got a little tense for a bit:eek1

and this is why i am trying to trade my bike,,, i just dont have the range.

Get that bike traded. Plenty of time, over a month away.

Can do a detour for gas in Baker cuts it down to about 120 needed.

120 is right at the limit, i think ive been to 122 in mixed off road terrain, i might be in.

I don't do overnights very often, it limits my riding opportunities :)

Throw an add on fuel tank onto a rear rack. Nomad makes them. Not sure if you need to be a member to see this, but I'll post it anyway.

you talkin to me with the nomad tank option? would be nice but i'll have to build a subframe, i ride an ATK, its basically a full on MX bike with a caterpilar engine stuffed in.
