I'd like to organize a weekly dinner ride in the Memphis area. Lots of people get together for one of the Wednesday bike nights & I know a few that do a Saturday morning breakfast ride.

How about an eveing dinner ride?

    Tuesday or Thursday?

Meet at 6:15, leave at 6:30 & always plan to be at dinner by 7:00?

Where is a great central meeting place?

Who wants to start making a list of restraunts we want to visit?

Instead of riding together, should we just post GPS coordinates and meet where we plan to eat that week?

I'm down with any of that.

How is it that we can have many successfully ADV dinners, but no ADV rides? :deal

Pick a place and time, and I'll likely be there.

Anyone that knows me can tell you that I like to eat. Well... you don't have to know me, you can tell by looking. :lol3 Either way, I'm in.

I should clarify. If the dinner is scheduled on any day except Friday or Saturday evening, I have a better than half a chance of attending.

I think it's got more to do with the roads.

Memphis is a great launching point for a trip, I mean, we're nearly in the geographic center of the country, but the riding around here sux. Big time. 2 hours or better to any really decent roads.

Looks like Scott's got us going to the Blues City Café on Beale Steet, tonight. 8:00p CDT.

I'm thinking about leaving downtown tomorrow afternoon @ 3:00 or so & slab riding up to Cape Girardeau for the showing of LWD. I need to come back that night so we would be back into memphis about 12:30 or so. If we leave at 3:00 we could have dinner at Lambert's Cafe. I hate to ride at night and would prefer to have someone else along. Shoot me a PM if you are interested.

If this does not come together I plan on having dinner at Deli Mexicana on Germantown Pkwy at 7:00PM on Thursday @ 7:00- 7:15 7/31

On 8/7 I plan to have dinner at the catfish place in Rossville at the same time.

The LWD ride up to Cape is off. I do not feel like doing it solo.

Deli Mexicana on Germantown Prkwy tonint (7/31) at 7:00 - 7:15

Awesome food, bench racing and general lie telling.

Next Thursday (8/7) same time at the Catfish place in Rossville.

Open to suggestion for the 8/14 dinner location.

Are you still doing Wolf River Cafe Thursday? I can make that. I have lived 10 minutes from there since '99, drive by every day and have never been inside.

I am still planning on going to Rossville on Thursday 8/7. Not a fancy place, but good catfish and great homemade pie.

8/14 is on hold. I have been called up to NW AR for a work project and have to leave on the 14th.

I'd be interested in riding over this Thursday. I don't live too far from there, 15-20 minutes or so. I've eaten there quite a bit... nice little joint.

But, don't expect any catfish on Thursdays. They only serve catfish after 4:00p on Friday and Monday, after 12:00 on Saturday. They are closed on Sunday.

I can't argue with that... but have you ever joined me on my MRT rides?

We aren't east Tennessee or Northwest Arkansas, but little snippets of rolling hills and twisties can be found.

Just east of Memphis, north of Rossville are a handful of local country roads with some nice leaning required.

I live in Somerville and have done several good day long rides that were all back roads and gravel. COuple weeks ago we rode all the way to Dyersburg and stayed mostly on gravel right next to the river.

I would be game to meet up for some Dinner rides or at least maybe some Saturday or Sunday afternoon rides.

By the way if you are thinking of the Wolf RIver Cafe in Rossville, I think that they only serve catfish on Fri and Sat nites.

Send me a pm or call at six seven four-8803 some time. I'm in Williston and would be open to ride sometime. I've done the gravel roads around here to death, but at least I know where they all are.

Jamie Z & Mini Trail came by Wolf River Cafe tonight. Nice to meet those guys in the real world. I brought Sled (lurker) with me, so we had a total of four.

I'm out of town next week, perhaps someone else wants to "pick up the ball" for 8/14.
