I think we'll have plenty to mull over once testing gets underway.

Maybe we should follow the racing "down under" for the next few months.

I hope 2012 season doesn't disappoint. I think the most important announcement still has to be made, who will take 3rd HRC seat at Gresini?

Question for those who know more about racing than I do - which would be the majority...
What is the purpose of countersteering while the front is completely unloaded and the bike is powering out of a bend?
I notice that a lot of riders do it but Stoner seems to be the most extreme exponent as in the video link above.
    Any insight into this?

No sorry, we only do color schemes and hair styles down here, you want the neverending countersteering thread in "Perfect Line" for the experts.

    :augie

Florin, it's been noted, I'll be back with a witty riposte in a day or two.

thats only co incidental its not countersteering, any wheelie will generally have the front wheel pointing one way or the other. The front wheel still has a balancing turning fuction even if its not on the ground

Testing begins shortly in Valencia. Nice and sunny this time. Good to see how new kids get on with the MotoGP bikes.

Mika Kallio has signed new 1 year deal with MarcVDS in Moto2.
