leading link fork questing / help

    hi all

    i have a 1993 r100gs and would like to know if a r100/7 leading link fork would fit in the gs triple clamps help is need as if they dont fit i will need to find some other one.

    The slash 7 had 36 mm forks, I believe yours are 40.
    However all is not lost. Contact Mark at info@waspmotorcycles.com.
    There is a thread somewhere on Advrider about their leading links coming with sleeves. Also they are on your side of the pond.

    i was told to use the /7 triple clamps on the gs frame as the bearing ect are the same.

    A guy I know from the Airhead list on micapeak makes beefier top triple clamps for /5's - /7's. http://www.pbase.com/toastertan/top_braces

    I see he does not offer them for the GS. This leads me to wonder if the GS clamp you have is beefier than the /7 triple top.

    Note the G/S is different from a GS

    The other potential gotcha is removing the stem from the lower clamp can be tricky. Do we know that because the bearings are the same, the stems are the same? Meaning, can you just pop in a /7 lower and stem into a GS?
    I can't say one way or the other, but I think you want to research that.

    I have a 40mm leading link in my garage I'vebeen trying to sell..It was for a newer 93-95 R100R we were doing a 91..Which ended up being a 36mm fork..PM me maybe we can do something...
