I read the entire report a year or two ago but decided to read the entire report again. It's that good:clap. It deserves to be bumped back to the top every so often just in case there is someone out there who has not read it yet.

What Klaviator said! +1 I've read it several times. It's a "go-to" story in the dead of winter while suffering from cabin fever.

Out of an estimated 20,000 threads (40 per line x 500 pages) Yes i see that there are 733 pages, a bunch seem to have been moved.

There are currently only 11 Ride Report threads that can claim the additional fame of being members of the 1 million + views club.

Glen is way closer to his 3 millionth view than the 1 mark. :clap
Doug is here twice...looks like your dirtster is a bit more popular than the panhead.
Clayton appears to engage his readers so much in his stories that they are to mesmerized to reply.

Would be great if the mods could let us know how many subscribers each of them have.

Yip, I'm still alive and kicking, thanks for caring.

I did two trips this year, one in Guatemala and one in Argentina. Otherwise just the odd weekend here and there. I hope to do something interesting again next year. Just need to check out time frames.

Glad you turned up today mate. I've been away from bikes and advrider for several years. Got another bike recently and came sniffing back around...

Wonder if that metaljockey guy is still writing?

    Yip!

I first read your Angola story as you posted it. In the years since, I have either told, or heard, this story around campfires and in pubs from Baja to Canada and from the Pacific to Atlantic.

I hope you know what an impact your writing has made in this world. Carry on!

    +1 amigo.

MJ, you're the man. Every ride report you've posted has been riveting. True adventure spirit.

Ok, now that I've got the grab assin and butt kissin out of the way, let's hear some more Metal Jockey goodness!

At one time there were many threads rated 5 star................since they use Metaljockey as the 5 star standard they are far and few between. MJ's ride reports are defining.........:deal............can't wait for more...:clap..........

Great reading, I read the entire post twice just to make sure I did not miss anything.

I have never had the chance to see the main land of Africa (made is to the Cape Verde islands), but my father lived in South Africa for many years before making it to the USA back in 1959, he then again moved to Nigeria around 1989 and lived there for a few years prior to his death in 1994. I never truly understood his obsession with Africa, after reading this, I am starting to understand the draw to this magical place, thanks for helping me open my eyes!
