Just curious if any size other than 150/70/17 will fit on an Adventure? Will a 140/80/17 Karoo fit - seeing as how they're WAAAY cheaper? If something like a 130/90/17 would fit, has anyone tried a D606? Seems like it's much more dirt oriented than the TKC...but does it melt away like the Karoo? Thanks.
Fit? 140 Yes. I'd think a 130 might be too small.. tend to sink in mud and sand too much .. might even tram track - follow ruts on the road. I went the other way on the K75 from 130 to 140 to float on the sand, tyre tended to float away from where the front tyre had gone. Back to the 130. At least for the time being. Yer never know untill you try.
I think the 140/80-17 Karoo is not rated as tubless. I can remember, but there is something different about it that makes it "not recommendable" for the GS.
