Have copilot installed on iPad. Would like to move routes to it using dropbox or iTunes. Open up app in iTunes, don't see copilot. I have installed prem. version. Do any of you use iTunes to move files to copilot? Nevermind, found thread his will only work if the app is Dropbox-aware and by the looks of it, CoPilot is not. It does indicate some support for "cloud backup", but with no indication of which service it's using nor do I think that's something useful here. Doesn't look promising.
I would suggest taking a look at MotionX GPS HD instead. No need to maintain any subscription and you can download the maps on the fly without having to sync. You can also send tracks to it via email for free. I have used it quite a bit and have found it to be the best GPS app so far for offline maps and tracks. Best $2 I have spend on an app. Their website is full of information and assistance. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/motionx-gps-hd/id370488535?mt=8
I use iMazing to sync non-music data to my iPhone. iExplorer is a good program as well. Sometimes a paid-for-program works better than a free one. Our society is rapidly thinking everything should be free - terribly prevalent with the last couple generations. As soon as everything is free, nobody will have anything because nobody will have a job.
I did pay $15 for the premium version. I have iExplorer. Can't see the copilot folders. The app has to be iTunes friendly, I think.
See post #17 from DRTYBYK in particular. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1010902&highlight=copilot+iphone&page=2 My "free" comment was not directed at you Frank, sorry.
If it's me, the stuff I use isn't free either, just not overly expensive. I am just not a fan of subscription-based software. Just let me pay a price and use the software. And, iExplorer is awesome! I use it all the time, too.
