It's a very handsome piece and completely understand why you want to keep it.

Thanks guys, it is letting go of so many family things all at once...

On a bloodier note , look who got bit by the river today.

Banshee and I bestowed some trail magic on a newlywed couple thru-hiking the AT. We took them on a float and I was a bit slack on reading the river .

Great couple. A few firsts for them. First Mexican food ever, first canoeing trip for his wife and first fish caught . Win win win.

'Chop Chop' (AT trail name) and fellow rugger performed the Maori warrior dance in appreciation for our hospitality. This was really a treat. His team also carries on the tradition before every match. It was an honor to receive such a gift as this. <iframe frameborder="0" scrolling="no" width="425" height="240" src="https://api.smugmug.com/services/embed/2704905030_DjH5qhb?width=425&height=240"></iframe>

He plays in Japan. Several teams do this as well . Either adopted the ritual or have had Maori play with them.

We used to do a partial/caucasian version of the Ka Mate chant, no dance:D . I think it is used by A LOT of teams.

Going by the Craigslist formula, $1800 for the cabinet.
Minus my drive time, gas and the fact that I would have to get a meal sometime during the trip makes the final price...

You'd owe me $50 by the time I got there. :D

I consider 1800 a steal seeing that it was appraised around 4k in 1990:D
Just found the inventory on the house in some paperwork.
