I have the most wonderful wife in the world. She recently let me know that she loves waterfalls and wants to start visiting as many of them as possible. Good news, right? It gets better. She wants to visit as many as possible while riding monkey in my sidecar outfit!

So to keep Momma happy, I want to fulfill her wish.

I would appreciate any info you can give me on great waterfalls to visit in the PNW. Names, locations, and brief descriptions would be wonderful. If there are campgrounds close by it would make things even better. Pictures? She loves pictures!

Thanks in advance, and please feel free to use any information we get up here for your own trips.

Clearwater Falls and Watson Falls, both on Hwy 138 near Diamond Lake, OR.

Bit of a ride from Spokane, but if you happen to be in the neighborhood visiting Crater Lake, they're worth checking out too.

Watson is a tall one. Clearwater is neat because it runs through a bunch of tree roots and you can pretty much stand in the middle of the falls without getting your feet wet.

Drift Creek Falls is really neat. The suspension bridge freaks me out though. The road up to the trailhead is really great too!

There are two small waterfalls on the Quinault River Road east of the lodge in Olympic National Park. Then there's the small waterfalls alongside US12 on Lolo Pass. Or the dam outflow waterfall on Sullivan Creek at Sullivan Lake. Or the waterfall along WA 20 west of Republic.

    There's a chance to put some miles on. . . ;-)

Silver Falls state park east of Salem Oregon is your best spot!
Beautiful area, camping at the park and I think 12 or 13 falls inside the park.
You gotta hike to most of them but there easy.
On your drive down hit the Scenic drive in the gorge and you will hit lots more right off the road!

not to share someones secret spot but if youve ever been to niagra park on hwy 22 theres a pretty cool spot on the other side of the river with a nice waterfall that dumps into small wading pool.. to get to it you gotta go through gates and get on the other side of the santiam and travel east after crossing the bridge for a ways then hit gravel, theres a sharp right turn and a camp site about 1/4 mile up the gravel, park there and use the rope trail and be careful not to slip, follow that down and explore, its a pretty nice spot
