So who will be taking over at Yamaha France, if Fretigine is leaving or are they not fielding a team this year?

There is this thread going now, but it didn't mention signing Velayos in lieu or Fretigne. Would be odd to see Fretigne on something else, but hopefully it signals a more dedicated effort from another factory.

Whenever BMW has played, they have played to win. It is long past time they competed with factory teams.

The more factory teams the better. Better for the riders, better for the viewers (me) and better for the sport as a whole :)

São Paulo ( SP) - José Hélio met all their goals in Southeast Route , held this weekend in the city of Botucatu ( SP). The pilot adopted the premiere of his new motorcycle, a BMW G450X , with which it will seek hexacampeonato Sertões International Rally in August. Break , he still won consistent results : won the second stage of the Paulista Championship Rally Baja, held on Saturday , and was deputy in the second stage of the Brazilian Championship Rally Cross-Country on Sunday. Thus , José Hélio won the overall victory in the South East Route and continues to lead the Brazilian ranking rally .

The proof with bumps and arrows had 112 km and was the pilot's first contact with the new motorcycle. However , please note that José Hélio competed in the weekend with a BMW G450X totally original. The motorcycle that he will use in the Hinterlands is being prepared by Brain Speed (Division off-road -works ) in Germany.

The original bike , for example , comes with gas tank with a capacity of eight liters . In the motorcycle rally , the tank is adapted to be free of 30 liters . "I ran with the bike the way it leaves the dealership and needed only 50 km of the initial test to feel at home. Supply during the races , unlike the other top drivers , but it was not a problem. Each device has its own characteristics, and soon realized the quality of the bike in all components , with emphasis on suspension , brakes and engine, which is quite strong , "he said .

Already the stage of the Brazilian Rally Cross Country has 114 km of special sections ( timed) and who got the better Deni was born . José Hélio was lost in the final but left the trail satisfied. "The Southeast route were very good, well marked. The organizers thought enough on the safety of pilots , so that nobody ran risks on the eve of the Rally of the Rally. Thus, it was an extremely enjoyable race , "concluded the driver, anticipating that plans to conduct further experiments on the motorcycle , and intensify physical training in the Company Athletica aimed at Rally.

José Hélio is sponsored by Brain Speed - BMW Motorcycle Tour and Brazil , co -sponsored by INPA and Anhanguera Educational and support of ASW , Pirelli and Company Athlete.

A lot of space below the shock. I'm guessing the white below that is part of the side tank? Could they fill that with even more tank? Seems like they have a lot of the fuel weight low and centralized. :thumb

Sorry guys, where did you all get the info, that Fretigné left Yamaha ???
As far as I´ve heard from Jorge Velayos mouth two minutes ago by phone, 10 days ago JVO Racing, David Fretigné, and Yamaha France signed a team contract (Olivier Pain as team mate).
I hope this all is a missunderstanding. :rofl
    Cheers
