It just takes one museum curator to get that going. :evil

They are too new is the reason. Other than the museum thing.

If I could put a CZ set trigger assembly in the M69, it would go from dandy to awesome !

I learned a lot about how to sweat out dings in the wood and remove large amounts of Cosmoline from a vintage gun. I am now looking for the next project. :evil

I was driving across the country already, so I made a 10 minute detour off of the I-20 to look at them in person. Was cheaper to get it shipped home than to pay the 10% sales tax and walk out with it.

I am looking for a quality bolt action rifle for plinking, target shooting etc.
What make and model gives the best bang for the buck?

I emailed them yesterday, got a response today. Says it should be processed and shipped in one to two weeks. Still holding my breath. Or something.

I've got an older Marlin 880 that I quite like - has a removable magazine and is tolerably accurate. the new model is I believe the XT-22 and comes with an adjustable trigger. My LGS had one for about $225 with a wood stock. Some claim the new Marlin ownership is no good - I have no opinion on that.

Everyone makes a .22 bolt still I think, so you are going to get a lot of opinions. Best deal is likely to be used.

    What's the consensus on a Marlin 60.

Cabela's has them on sale. It says 10 shot magazine. It has a tube. Seems like they should hold more. Did the older ones have a larger capacity??

I just checked the 60 and a 572 side by side. This 60 holds 18 and is stamped Long Rifle only. The 572 holds 15 but accepts shorts, longs, and long rifle. I tend to forget I even own the 572.We never bonded
I would think the tube and spring would be the only way to change capacity. The current version looks the same as mine and loads the same so there isn't much else that could limit it

Anyone else get a Fathers Day Flyer from Cabela's? I think they have different capacities in different states. It would be interesting to hear from someone in another part of the US. CT just passed a 10 shot mag limit, but rimfires were exempt.

N.Y. Is 7 rounds and rimfires are not exempted, But you are allowed to have a 10 round mag, you just can't put in more than 7 rounds :huh

If you have a detachable magazine, I do not know if the tube magazines are excempted.

I'd be more worried about even finding ammo once Obama signs on that silly UN weapons embargo bullshit. Right up his alley!

Me and my boy Jax got a little range time in this weekend. He loves the new Nikon on his little CZ Scout.
