Last week I picked up a new non-ABS 1200GS from our local dealer. I sold both my 04 1150 GS and my 05 650 Dakar for this bike. It was worth it.

Tho I really enjoyed both of my previous mounts, after doing a long test ride of the1200GS I knew it was the bike for me. Much lighter feeling than the 1150- and about the same "feeling"as the 650.

I had put about every mod on my 1150 for performance and handling it still didn't measure up to my stock 1200GS.

So anyway, I thought we could have a thread for pics of our 1200 GS's . I would like to see what everyone has done to theirs now that they have been out 1+ years and no - Nachtflug will not be involved - at least till he succumbs and buys one.

So let the displays begin and I will start with my almost 100% bone stock one - non ABS model.

    Update:

A splash of Touratech farkles and upper fairing, a dash of Micatech aluminum panniers, a sprinkle of: Russell Day Long Saddle for long distance touring, GS Adventure fuel tank, GS ADV shocks and seats ... and it's now perfectly dialed in..

    Dar,

Good choice, you will really love this bike over time. My little GS has Krauser K5 side bags ( 47 liter , will hold 2 full face) and 52 liter Givi top case with gel seat pad and Givi windscreen.

Mine is also non abs, got it just over 2 weeks ago. Only mod so far is a Kaoko throttle lock. I have a set of SW Motech cylinder bars sitting up at UPS waiting for delivery Mon.:(: Still debating which windscreen to get. What a fun bike! Pic was taken in the Black Hills a couple days after I got it.

    Here's mine,

05 model with ABS. I moved up to the GS from a Kawasaki Z1000 and CBR600RR. The stock GS was excellent but all it needed was a bit of a sweeter sound so I put a Remus Evolution Carbon end can. It gave the GS a bit of a better sound and shed a bit of weight off the rear!.....

    Mods (not much)

    - Remus Evolution
    - BMW crash bars(if that's considered a mod)
    - Tobinators

Other than that, The GS doesn't need much improvement!

    Cheers

Here's mine in stock condition. Need to take some more pictures since adding Passport 8500, Garmin 276C, and Aeroflow tall shield. Corbin seat is on the way. Fastway pegs on the workbench waiting to be installed today.
