Tomahawk is 5 or so hrs from you (Newburgh), We have an open practice on Friday and then race on Saturday so I will leave Thursday and probably camp at the track and we would leave Sunday morning, there is talk of riding somewhere (Sleepy Hollow) on Sunday but in general my body can not take 3 days in row. Might get a hotel 1 night but not sure yet... Winchester is a half hr or so from Southwick so under 3 hrs for you? Thats on the 15th
Did get to the CC today and rode the 89, no jumping the uphill double (vagania issue(no balls)) but you come up short on a 24 yr old bike it hurts... 89 ran great! wash and a filter and it's ready for Etown... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/TMBf6zuSTX4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Etown tomorrow! Loaded and ready to go with a 5am departure time, full race report coming.... psyched!
Not a good day.... started with a 1 hr long traffic jam with only 5 miles to go because they had a running 10k that started at Raceway park with 15,000 PEOPLE! practice was late an short and the start of the race was late. 2nd lap on the 89 in the first moto my start was ok but not great and there were 2 guys in front of me that were all over the track and riding sketchy (not ACR regulars), I attempted to rail around the outside of a berm to pass both of them but sketchy #1 bobbled sending sketchy#2 into my front wheel sending me over the bars while I was 3rd gear pinned and I hit the ground hard, my bike landed on top of me and I think sketchy #2's bike as well. I couldn't move and beside having the wind knocked out of me there were bikes on top of me. Sketchy pulled his bike off of me but stood there asking me if I was ok while my bike was revving in gear but luckily not ripping me apart with the spinning wheel. Ambulance came on the track to pick me up as I laid motionless for awhile so they did the full body check before loading me up for the long bumpy ride to the parking lot(which hurt as much as the get off), Although I was sore with a bruised hip and ribs (maybe cracked) I declined the ride to the hospital and choose to tough out the rest of the day under the popup, my brother drove down with me so he had his races and thought it best to give it some time. We'll see how I feel in the morning....
major suckage! hope you mend up quick. glad to be able to say...sounds like it could have been a lot worse.
Thanks guys! Flug your right it could have been worse... Did not move all day yesterday and could barely get out of bed this morning but started to move around 10 and then unloaded the trailer from the race and I loosened up, ended up cleaning the garage and doing a few things around the house and I feel much better. Hip is still very sore and the ribs are tender but all I can think about is what day I can ride this week.. maybe next week?
for whatever it's worth....ice is not good according to a chiropractor I was seeing. slows blood circulation down etc.
I'm PUI so if this 205, well then... Rickey Carmichael, one of the best motocross riders of all time, riding a tuey! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PqEZXb_FvQ

I would post pictures of my bruising but I don't want to get banned, Nudity/ Graphic/ Rotundness, just too many offense's. And once again my friggen ribs are KILLING me... Oy....
It's my own personal salute to the end of summer. The shirt is from the Black Dog in Martha's Vineyard, The shorts are Nantucket country club casual and my hip represents a Tequila Sunrise which is sipped on the porch of the National hotel in Block Island.. which pretty sums up my life, The Endless Summer.
