Most rallies require a front number plate holder. This is what we fabbed up for my bike in Australia. Just a flat piece of lexan held in place with zip ties.

Makes sence, looks no worse than my cut up rear fender :D. I like your hybrid front fender, the solution to the "high fender / low fender " debate is found.

This is where I am now and will wait to hear feedback for the guys testing it.

I've moved the connector rack back to the upper triple it allows for the horn and later a USB port to be mounted on the clutch side and then I can remove the throttle side for access and all the components will still be mounted up undisturbed. Also can switch between the Nav Tower and stock headlight within minutes. The whole thing comes off with 3 bolts/side and disconnect the wiring. then strap on the headlight mask.

There are a series of holes for both the lights and the roadbook mount bracket.
The lights are in the upper holes, but can be rotated 180deg and be 1 5/8" higher and of course lower using the lower holes. Using that the headlight mask could be moved all over the place depending on where you want it.

I have the bracket mounted with 2 bolts/side, but have been riding with only 1 per side and it hasn't moved, I made the roadbook mount .005" wider then the rest of the parts such that when the bolts are all tightened up the roadbook mount is already under tension. It is in the 2nd of 4 holes on it, so it can be moved higher or lower or more forward as well as the headlight mask can be moved higher or lower.

I've made it so I can take it off and put the headlight in the stock/lower Squardon position, but I've been riding it with the nav tower side plates in place, but the roadbook and mounting bracket removed.

    Paul,

That kind of setup was very popular in Brazil at the Dos Sertoes. I like it a lot. Nice work!

Very nice. I like how easy it is to go from RB set-up to dirtbike set-up.

Will this work w/ a non HDB handguard mount. Say a BRP/Scotts damper mount?

Can you show us a detailed picture of the top mount?

Looks excellent Paul, I like the fact that it's removable so easily. It's a great solution for the masses that don't want a full on "Dakar" set up and prefer to keep things simple. Easy access for repairs in the event of a crash and carrying a spare at a rally would be easy and would take up very little room.

    Thanks Guys,

Dan this is the only part that needs to be different the Scott's mounting plate, but for KTM's with this design and all 4 M10 bolts attaching the assembly down, I really don't think I'll be making a lesser version, it's proven to be very solid. I will look at making the Scott's mounting plate for 12mm setups like the CRF, WR's and aftermarket upper triples,

    The Scott's mount is adjustable,

It's a variant of this, and will allow for any height risers needed for a comfortable position while standing.

Airstreams have more curves, reminds me more of the VW thing :lol3

But yeah, gotta respect the "git r' done" method of fabrication.

    Scotts is so old school
IMO; Go with the V4 GPR

I have THOUSANDS of miles on both Stablizers and the Scotts is the same TODAY as it was back
in 1997 when Ohlins was the maker
Just a note: GPR has the Patten on the under bar mounting system.
All the guys out there making Under Bar Mounts are in Violation. ( check it out)

I'm pretty old school and I guess I'm just a "if it ain't broke" kind of guy, I've had a Scott's since the early 90's.

Let me know what GPR's patent number is as I'll need to include it as prior art and I didn't see anything that applied.

So what is it you like better about the GPR? Does it feel better/different than the Scott's?
