Isn't that the house that was briefly used as the state capital during the revolutionary war or civil war?I know there's a house down there that was used as a make shift capital building.

Gracias Loren. Have a destination for next road trip to check out the history there. The historical marker must be fairly new - it's not there on the Google Earth street view.

Yes, I was surprised to see the historical marker, didn't see it in my research. Saw the small one. Flasher is right about lots of history in Union & county.
