I don't want a "Yahoo ID", which seems to be a prerequisite to participate in the DVD discussion group. Is there some other way to get info about this event?

BTW, the date appears to be January 27, 2007.

Yep! It's approximately 3 months away and will be here before we know it.

    Just made my camping reservation:

    Site # 25
    Reservation ID # 5335098 (walk-in)
    referenced: "village idiots"

I'll be riding up from Long Beach Thursday (originally Friday) in the early a.m. and leaving DV Sunday (or might stay an extra day somewhere in the park).

    I can't wait! :clap

Let the planning and speculation begin! :freaky

Anybody trucking/trailering from LA county that has space for a KTM450EXC?

Anybody with a big gas tank that wants to ride some gnarly jeep trails with me?:D

Which Jeep trails are you referring to. I may be interested in joining you depending on how gnarly these trails are. Although, my buddy on the other hand, I may have to talk him into it.

Never ridden there in the winter, so not sure what's gonna be passable, but I'd be game for trying almost anything on my mini-bike... was even thinking of stopping by Dumont Dunes on the way in, if possible.

Will Manson's cabin be snowed in at that time of the year?:ear

edit: Nope, no snow. Hopefully it's dry like last year.

Now that's a place I've been longing to visit! I believe it's located off of the Goler Wash / Warm Springs Road, accesible via either the Ballarat side or the West Side Road side.

    Here's a write up from 2005's DVDaze:

    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67467&highlight=charles+manson

Here's more of what I'd like to checkout...

Titus Canyon, Manson's hideout, charcoal kilns, Rhyolite, geologist's cabin and other's that aren't coming to mind at the moment. I'd also like to re-visit the infamous Racetrack and the Ubehebe crater, Scotty's Castle.

    Zen,

Would your 450 get cc envy from being on a trailer next to a 625? Maybe we can work something out...
