Don't get me started, I'll just say this
I DESPISE the notion that FB is the appropriate place to post information, regardless of the organization we are talking about.
    end rant...

I agree that info could/should be a bit easier to come by. Not that the old SCORE website was a mountain of knowledge.

Hopefully this will change soon, it seem like RN is doing a lot in a small amount of time and at least SCORE3.0 is attempting to make changes that benefit the racer (fuel mandate debacle aside) and increase safety.

Just wanted to say we had a great time riding the course. We rode from Rancho Mike Sky to Rt 3, down the course to where it meets up with the road into San Filipe, had some lunch in SF and then rode back out the start of the course but cut over (~RM10?) and continued to the finish. We were all pretty tired of the whoops from the start and ~RM170 to ~RM184, so we took the sportsman's shortcut and we really enjoyed that section.. Sandy wash that had really fun berms to rip though. There was one tight slippery section through some boulders, but otherwise it was fast and flowing.

What's the technique for riding those whoops fast? I felt like I could either go slow and roll them all one at a time or I could twist it and hold on for short bursts but I just didn't have the skill to maintain a faster pace. Do you just need to go twice as fast as a "rolling" pace to get it to ride on top of the whoops or do you try to double them up or what?

Good luck in the race everyone. We will be on the other side of the peninsula heading home...

Our coverage down here was a little harder than usual

** I believe THR KAWI will protest KTM for course deviation

Anyone know why ktm is running a carburated bike this year? Looks like some special stuff in the motor. The stator cover is different and it has an oil intercooler.

The cooler is made by CPW out of Australia... sure they have a rewound stator thus the new cover and a carbed bike is a proven winner...

    anyone have the unofficial results?

Looks like everyone in class 22 except Norman got dinged and KC & IR got bumped back to 2nd place! Everyone in class 21 got dinged. In the Trophy Truck class, Bryce got dinged 5 min. giving Gus & Tavo the win!!!

Our team finished 7th in sportsman over 450.
Not sure if we got any penalties, but it doesn't really matter, we all felt that we ran a good race despite a flat tire that our teammate Keith had to ride for 50 miles. Hats off to him for persevering and getting the bike to the next pit safely :clap
    Another great time in Baja!

    Scotty,
I was referring to SCORE posting information on FB instead of their 'official' site.
With respect to race coverage, I'll take it in any form I can get and definitely appreciate all your efforts, past and present!
