this conversation started in late 2010 with IBMike. How in the hell he came up with riding in Ecuador doesnt really matter. It was a chance to ride with my good friend and riding partner IBMIke in someplace that the neighbors hadn't been yet! so the planning started.
Mike actually stumbled onto this outfit while surfing motorcycle porn on Facebook...:huh

We E-mailed the owner Court Rand with stupid questions and he politely answered every question we had. I think I'm gonna like riding with with outfit!

This will help me.
I am scheduled to be in the Amazon in November and then use Freedom Bike for a 2 week ride.

Court has done his research and the GPS that will guide you around will be packed full of fantastic sights, great people to meet, and lots of great chow!

There were 3 of us with helmet cams and all had cameras, so there will be 100+ hours of video and a couple thousand pics to share!

Honestly, i had to look on the net to find it and then all over Freedom's site to see what kind of country we were going to be riding in. The first major problem being was that we were planning on going in April. IE> the rainy season! No fucking shit!!! i hate riding in rain. IBMike and I have paid our dues riding in the damn rain. Cant we find some fuggn place that it doesnt rain!!! Apperently NOT!
OK, BFD, we will handle 10 days of rain when we get there. I'll make sure my shit is waterproofed and I throw in my raingear just in case Noah's Arc isnt available for limo service during the monsoon...
and Llama's may be sure footed and all that shit, but rumor has it that they are much easier to catch when wet.... IBMike assured me of it

Yes, April was a bad idea... but whe you're dumb enough to befriend an refrigeration guy who's busy in the winter and busy in the summer, that leaves rainy season the states, or rainy season in South America. Given we've ridden in every state but Hawaii, it was time to branch out. I've been a poser with my "Ride the World" decal on my GS for long enough, it was time to walk the walk!

we kicked around the camel toe idea. but , camels are rare in ecuador. we only saw one!
i counted two Llama's... so just being there are twice as many Llama's there, majority ruled.dllama

WTF and I seriosly mean ...WTF.... does a guy take to Ecuador to ride for 10 days? Court sent us a list of must have items that was for the basic traveler . His list covered about everything we would need except bottled sunshine and money for booze. I can handle the latter but the sunshine was almost guarenteed to be a total bust for the month of April.:dogFuck It, Let's ride
We knew that we would want pictures. lots and lots of pictures that will be useless fluff in the long run. BUT, can be used for post count fodder on ADV. Yeah, useless shit i know but deal with it YFF's
With the video world coming into full swing and being affordable, we both figured we woudl bore the ever lovin shit outta ya'll with hours upon hours of beautiful countryside, on the move video narrative of big breasted native women and of course the always attractive Hi Def footage of unsuspecting dipshits taking a crap in nasty banos with no doors.:huh
The only choice was of course the GOPRO video camera. the shit ive seen on the net with these is very cool so i got to shopping. IBNMike assured me that after the holidays he knew that there was a place that was going to have em on sale dirt cheap so hang tight and wait.......

Woot Wooot.... Christmas elves hooked me up with the Hero HD2 camera.
I found a battery charger and 2 extra batteries on Amazon for about $25, and ordered 4 ~ 32 gig SD cards to hours upon hours of moto video porn!
with all this shit in place, the ride was now deemed to possibly be "epic"
I couldnt wait to call all my homies and tell them the great news...
