Thomaston Dam opens May 1st, its a great place to go, and it's free but you got to go over the bridges to get there. After a lot of rain it might be temporarily closed due to high water levels.

Another fun ride not to far away is this one, only one weekend.

Just by looking at the pictures I don't see a tail light or turn signals.
Unless it already has a street legal title I'd say probably not.

I have a buddy that has a 2003 450SX for sale that is titled in NYS, he lives in Selden.
I'm almost 100% it is actually street legal (not just a dirt bike with a title).
It also has full dirt and SuMo setups.
Oh yeah, and he added the 5th and 6th gears that the SX doesn't come with.

I'll see what he's asking for it if you, or anybody else, is interested.

If it has a street title already you are good to go. If not, run away!!

Also something worth mentioning, the SX has no stator, so no electric start or ability to run lights or turn signals without adding a small battery. Kinda a pain. The SX is faster though but has motocross suspension which can be a bit harsh for woods riding.

The ad says This bike can be titled street legal... yeah, sure. Any bike can be made street legal, depending on how much time and money you want to throw at it. If he were a smart seller, it would already be street-legal, which generally adds about $1000 to the price of dirtbikes in NYC (from what I've found). If you want a street-legal dirtbike, KTM makes plenty of other models.

Thank you guys. I passed on it. He kept my $200 deposit though, I thought he would be nice enough to return it since the guy is loaded but whatever. Lesson learned.

If anybody has any leads on something in the area or out of the area since I'm willing to drive for a good bike and deal, please let me know.

I would say the bike was misrepresented because of the "This bike can be titled street legal" line.
    That's a lie.
It's class can be changed but only if YOU were to change it.
The bike sold as is is NOT able to be titled.
I would demand my deposit back.

The title says "motorcycle". Not "off road use only".

    Either way its behind me.

    I believe on Karma.

So with thats said, I am still looking for something.

Do you know how the guy became loaded?

By making $200 a pop off people who fall for his misleading bullshit.

You didn't leave him cash, did you?
