    Update: 11Oct2013

    Same concept as last year:

Who: Good people who ride motorbikes

What: Show up, ride, camp, eat, drink, be merry, have a good time, (hopefully not :puke2 in your tent)

Where (FINAL ANSWER): Calaveras Big Trees State Park

    When:
    Weather / Tree Color Dependent
    Primary: October: 18-20
    Alternate: Oct 25-27

If the weather is truly supposed to be shit on the primary date, we will reschedule to the alternate date. Be flexible, its worth it.

This is 95% unorganized. It is a modified 'Farm Rules' event. No shirts, no pins, no food, no swag, no strippers.

This is not an ADV organized ride/event. I will not be there to greet you and hold your hand to set up your camp or your ride. Usually about 20 of us show up, we share camp sites, and just ride motorbikes and enjoy each others company.

    ALSO;
Sorry for the sketchyness all year. After breaking my foot in May I am only about 6 weeks into riding again. My foot is still pretty swollen and I can just now fit my foot into a proper riding boot. I had hope to ride a bit this summer and scout out a good place for us to do this, but but this was a shitty year for me, riding wise.

Anyhoo, see you bastiges at Calaveras Big Trees. For those that don't know, for the last 2 events we have been somewhere between campgrounds 61 and 65. IF you show up and site 65 is nice, take it. I have a handicapped placard and can legally use that site. othewise, stick with what we know.

    The motivation

By the list so far, you might want to rename it "Fall Gimpfest"

Foot. I crushed part of the right one. Same thing you saw me hobbling around with. Found out after seeing 2nd doc it was more than soft tissue

Plates/ screws installed last month. Go back early July for removal. Should be back on 2 wheels by aug. :clap

Yikes. Best wishes on the hardware removal. See if they will let you keep some of it to use on the DR. :deal

Last year was fun! When you get some dates and ideas on where
    throw them out there.

I'm in. I vote to try the Grover hot springs camp at Markleeville. I stayed there last year (though they closed for repairs during OUR ride). Nice spot.. good riding, showers, etc. Food/booze nearby.

Thats not bad. I do hate the state parks though. SOOOOO expensive.

Thanks homie. I'm quite sick of crutches.

Just a thought here.... get rid of the crutches and the DR, without one you won't need the other. :evil

Honestly, once I get back from Alaska next year....that may just happen.

9 months on crutches in 4 years. I probably cant take much more of this shit.

The problem is you have these rides in the fall, when all the FS campgrounds are closed. If you had them midsummer there would be all kinds of cheap facilities available.

The answer is to quit hurting yourself. You have enough metal in you to build a skid plate. Get yourself a motorhome, we will report back what a wonderful time we had.:evil
