Finished up a spritely route on Southern Maryland's on Calvert County (and a bit of Anne Arundel) peninsula. This is the third revision of the route and corrected closed parks, congested traffic area.

But if you like this sign,

    Which brings roads like this..

Or this one, which leads to roads which would never meet county specifications today due to tight curves, narrow unmarked pavement..

..then you will like this route. About 100 miles round trip, plan on 3.5 hours. The outbound track is a bit slower as there are more tight turns, but delightful all the same.

As we have a predilection for food, it ends at a good German restaurant. However, they are really only open at lunch on Sunday.

So, since most of ride more than Sunday, here's a good 'ol Crab house style food:

The track is facetiously named "Small Garages" since it meanders around fanciful old world estates such as this one. A huge house, and nary a garage insight. Almost sacrilegious it you ask us :rofl

And what would a mansion be without a proper name:

Or a gate with shade trees lining the front drive
    [IMG]

    More un-school garage folk:

But don't worry, the small garage folks do love them a huge tobacco barn (or two)

There is a good portion of the track that follows tree lined roads:

And if a tree could talk what would it say?

As this is a peninsula, plenty of places to dream a simple dream
    [IMG]

Or build you a home on the water..

Or if you need to see God, plenty (more than plenty) houses to see:

The whole route is seeped in history

Overall, a great day of riding, and Blaster put another notch in his odometer:
