Skied Stevens Pass yesterday... 11" of new at 5am... blowing and snowing hard all day long... significantly increasing hazard as the day went on.
It was so good I never took a pic... I know, lame... but trust me lame was not my mindset. Only skied 5 sidecountry runs but that took all day and the shit was in my face... just sucked... wootwoot!

As I look at the skin on the back of my hands at this keyboard it is self-evident how old I am. Scarred, too dark and grandpa wrinkly, still intact-sore sometimes but all the digits are there and working.

Each and every time I step into my bindings and skate off to the lift I am thankful to be able to. 50 days so far, most of them half days but action packed for the suspension I’m running.

Kirk DeVoll (he's almost as old as I am!) on Cow’s Face. Perfect corn.

Ski with Andrew as long as you can keep up - he's 19 and rips, has over 3 million vertical feet so far this year.

Last tuesday it was clear as a bell, no wind and warm in the parking lot but the snow was hazardously frozen on the Libs so my friend loaned me some 178 Fischer GS skis. In the shop I noticed this poster tacked up on the joist.

No way! I've skied with all of those folks (except the Mahre brothers) over the years.

And then there’s the dang kid workin’ the summit.

They kept working on it for hours and it was worth it.

More to come, we’ve got tons of primo consolidated snowpack and we’re not done!

HA! Yes, I've been riding a bunch now that the woods to the west are open again  plus, we did this little 4 day trip a couple weeks ago: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=879910 (not very well written and familiar country but it was nice to get out)

Cell pics from a week or two ago.

Fellas built a booter you could see from the parking lot.

    A precise landing was required

There will be some great vid footage when they release it in September.

Corn here has been pretty skiable. Not quite as perfect as last year but there's always something fun to ride.

7" of cccccccold 21 degree powder yesterday. No photos of that.

Today the summit opened up and I got to try out our new Canon G15 and some new-to-me 185cm Nordica Enforcers (they rip!). In places a foot of new snow covering up the ice and skiing like silk.

Our son was filming with Pete and hitting this rock drop. Even with the 'burst' I missed the best action but you get the idea.

    First tracks on summit :freaky

Those guys stomped all their landings and Pete will have some excellent footage. B. Becker was also shooting and his stills will be pro quality! :clap:clap
