I will never forget the day my dad drove in the driveway beeping the horn on the new family car. A Gremlin, baby blue. My mother was yelling at him and my big brother and sisters were laughing so hard it wasn't funny. I was little and kinda liked the car. It was a good two weeks before my My mother would let us ride in it. They were divorced shortly after, the car didn't help the situation. He still has the car rotting away behind his house.

There was a kid in high school had a Gremlin.:huh

    401 V8 with a 4 speed.:deal

That little fucker would cover the high school building in smoke everytime he drop first and stomped the brake,,,,and let sit.:lol3

Other then that,,,,,,you'd wish you had a full face helmet on everytime you passed a girl or someone that knew ya.

But any car is cool if you shoehorn a V8 in it,[the motor not the Gunther:D].Except for that Pacer.I don't care what you did to that thing,,,it was horrible. My sister loved that car....:puke1
She got Moms 78 Monte after the pacer, and would bitch she missed that AMC.Even my father would call her a dork.:rofl
I know he gave her mom's monte just so he didn't have that Pacer in his driveway anymore.

It must be me being from European country but I like both Gremlins and Pacer even more. What was the alternative back then in the price range?
At least those two stood out of the crowd of boats. I mean truly American cars

In 1957 Rambler had a 327 motor that put out 327 HP that could blow the doors off most "fast cars" of that era. Remember the song by the Playmates, "Beep Beep". Google it.

I was born in '76 and my dad was a proud owner of the FIAT 125p that looked like this
    [IMG]
Up until 1989 in Poland gas was regulated by government. With engine displacement above 900cc the owner was able to purchase 36 up to 48 liters a month!

My first car was '73 Super Beetle back in 1994. Than a series of small 1400-2000 four cylinder Renaults, VW's and one inline 6, 5 Series BMW

Yes I do come from a different world:ear

I was looking through an old album the other day and saw a car my stepfather bought. It was a Torino wagon? Big ole gold Ford wagon would get up and boogy.

Buddy of mine had an X Package Gremlin like that but with reverse color scheme Black with Orange stripe... I used to throw candy in it all the time and when he looked at me I would say "I thought you were trick or treating" :lol3 I would usually do it when he was chatting up a girl.
