It's really starting to freak me out...:D

As part of my reverse mid life crisis, I'm getting much closer to pulling the trigger on a Trophy. I got a quote of 18k OTD on one, and just saw this one up on ebay:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2013...otorcycles&hash=item46117cfc03#ht_2839wt_1165

Is there a reason they are starting to go for below MSRP? The only reason I can think of is the color. Every dealership I have been to has folks waiting on a silver one to come in, and I keep seeing the blue ones on the floor. To be fair...I'd prefer silver myself, I'm just not sure if I prefer it more than a good deal.

*edit had the quote wrong. needs more coffee

I had an interesting chat with a mate who works in a BMW garage. He's seeing a fair few riders trade in their K and R tourers for the new F800GT. He reckons the age of the riders, combined with the weight of the bikes is giving them second thoughts about ownership of these big beasts.
I wonder if Triumph will be looking at a Mini Trophy some time in the future?

Believe I'm going to subscribe and follow this one. I sat on one today for the first time and it fits well, little more compact feeling that my FJR though.
Not real fond of frontal look but everything else looks top notch.

I was thinking of something using the 800 motor, other than the tiger.

I ended up passing on that deal. After thinking about it, even with the good deal, I really cant stand the blue color. I've always been a black bike kind of guy, but after riding a white tiger for two years, I can see myself owning a lighter color bike, and I've been digging the silver rt1200rt.

There is a silver one at one of the dealers in the area, I'm going to go check it out this weekend to see if I feel differently about it. I'd love to try and squeeze a test ride out of them, but for some reason all of the dealers in the area refuse to offer test rides.

My rear Angel ST is showing signs of squaring off. I think if i can make it last a while i might go for PR3's. The bike will dance with those on..

I rode one after setting it up for a customer. Wow. It was a very impressive motorcycle.

To where does the heat flow off the radiator and motor? Is it tolerable with proper gear on a hot day or does some part of you get grilled?

    Thanks Crazyman.

One more question for everyone, how is the initial quality? I'm assuming there has not been many that have run the odometer into six figures. I have noticed on the Explorer forums there have been some seemingly isolated electrical gremlins. Is everyone here happy with their choice?
