Hey Dirty, this don't look too bad, only 200kms, bet it seems a lot longer on the way out on Sunday!!! Catchya.
Anyone going Friday and want to meet up? Mallee Probably be @ Parkes about lunchtime, well that's if we don't get waylaid somewhere, doing the tourist thing on the way up Anyway, at this stage - thinking of trailer being towed, yep I know I'm a sucker for punishment but if ya don't try - ya don't know, :eek1 'White Beast' for this trip, & Strudy will travelling with us too, good combo to spot - white XS650 Special towing a trailer & a dark purple Harley - both with old farts on board!!!! Cheers Baza
Still need advice on Coonabarrabran accommodation. I'm concerned about truck noise as the pubs all seem to face the main street. Don't particularly want to be woken by a B double going around the roundabout at 3am.
Pegasus, Merriwa pub knocks up a pretty good feed, but I haven't stayed. Put the Bylong vallley way on your route, which comes off the Golden Hwy at Sandy Hollow. Can't help with much else, sorry, but it will be good to have you at the rally. cheers
Pegasus46 Take a look in Google maps on the map mode and you'll find a few BB's off the main drag. And some on the Timor Rd Nice ride out through the John Renshaw Drive ( Timor Rd) past the observatory and that road takes you all the way through to Gulargambone or up to Coonamble. Both good stepping stones for Tottenham
Here's a few photos from '09 old mate on the ST Honda came a cropper going out to the 'Cairn' :eek1 Hooked up with these two reprobates heading home Graham 'Crampy' Cramp Peter Hawker Cheers Baza
This year we're also encouraging any K series BM owners to come along and celebrate the 30th anniversary of the start of the K. Special awards for K's this year also. Al
I'll put up a sign claiming land rights or something, Bev & I will be going out to the 'Cairn' on the Saturday, maybe lunch @ Nymagee pub Cheers Baza
From an email I received as webmaster of the BMW Touring Club website: At the 2013 Far Cairn Rally, Josh and Duncan will be showing the second Eye of the Rider documentaries Arrows of Fire The film will be started after the awards, at dusk. It is 65 mins long and it's quite a different film to Eye of the Rider. The DVD will be sold in a mini movie canister tin, nice and rugged for the pannier ride home. The P.A will be a lot more capable than previous years also. Check out the video trailer
Arrows Of Fire 2013 Promo from Lost Highway Productions on Vimeo.

Going again this year and leaving Friday And as smallengines said look out for wildlife or as I call it the three FFF,s Fur, Feathers and Farmers. Last year had Roo's running between us, seen a few Emu's and the old Cocky (farmer) fulled out into the middle of the group. He has been driving this road for 60 years:huh Can't wait. See you all out there. Mallee
A bit of a bump... I am itching to get going on this one. Hopefully will arrive early enough Saturday to get out to the cairn. Catchya.
Good pics Baz, how nice is it to be at the Cairn having a beer on a warm spring arvo barefoot in that saddling yard? It has to be the best patch of turf west of the great divide...which is why the locals won't let us light a fire on it! cheers, not long now!!
