Larry is good people...we are all doing our best to grow the sport...it's coming along slowly....Trials will teach you how to ride.

I need another trials bike like I need a hole in my head. :nah

I barely get out to ride my bikes as it is. :cry

Trials is a niche sport. Not many peeps are willing to go through the training and learning of the sport IMO.

It's a lot more popular today than it was when I was into it about 15 years ago. Lot's of the top endurocross and extreme enduro riders have a trials background.

I was thinking I might like a trials bike to play with. I talked to three older riders who did just that. All three agreed they spent a lot of time injured...

It seems the sport -especially in learning stage - is prone to falls, and usually in rocks or bad places and therefore lots of minor injuries and broken bones.

I opted out... I too have more bikes than time.

The problem with Trials is everyone wants to jump , ride or go up stuff. They try to do this before they can balance the bike bike at 0 mph & ride full lock circles at 0.1 mph....learn to crawl before you run.
Trials is the core prinicples of riding anything on wheels & once you can balance endlessly in 1 spot & can control the bike, then by al means go for it. It has improved my balance & bike control....it has made other types of riding even more rewarding.

    +1

If you are hurting yourself, you are doing it wrong and are riding over your ability.

I need to get another one, my skills have got rusty.

I used to have a great time just riding in circles in my driveway or on a simple back yard course.....nothing huge or hard, just constantly polishing the skill set.

Do it until you can make it
Then do it until you can make it without putting a foot down.
Then do it until you can make it without a bobble.
Then do it until you can do it in your sleep.

    Then do something harder.

Now this is a true panty-dropper. If it weren't for the two extra zero's in the price, I'd be in, if only to get my mitts on that crooked ass old crt TV! I wonder if "I Dream of Jeannie" is still available on that old sonofabitch?
