I like that seat, looks like you can move back easily, also looking ok without luggage rack (plastic?)

Someone told me they have been working on the water boxer engine for five years. Not sure if its true, but I hope so. But very good points about the fact that its BMWs best seller and they can't afford to have bad press on it. Fingers crossed as I'm #2 at my dealer.

Even though I did buy this last of the model run to get a "bug free bike", the gearbox failed anyway after just 1,000km and had to be rebuilt.

It was a fault in the selector drum and shift fork !! Maybe the tools were wearing out in the factory huh !!

It really is just bad luck if you get the odd one that does have a fault. BMW were great about it, if fact they went above and beyond what they had to.

I predict you will sell it within 2 months to replace it with Skyhook equipped machine. You may as well place an order on that as well.

There is a front shot of a test bike doing the rounds which appears to have a wide adventure type tank on it. I will track it down and post here. It might be all crap but it might also be right.

Mine is a 2005 with 63,000, HARD miles, dropped MANY times, redlined MANY times, airborne MANY times and never a single breakdown or broken part, except a very deformed skid plate due to my stupidity...

I'd love to have a new one but it's not in the budget right now and I'm not spending ANY serious money until I see what happens in November!... Life is way too short to "wait" a few years until "the bugs are worked out" If you can afford it, BUY IT NOW! Ride the shit out of it, if something breaks, fix it, move on and repeat...

I think that might have just been a plastic shroud to conceal the appearance of the new model.

Just remember that it took 2 model years for the Hexhead GSA to show up...it could be the same for the Wethead GSA's?

I even deleted the ABS on my 07. Only thing I had were heated grips and driving lights.

    Less shit to go wrong...

Absolutely but the GSA is a huge seller so maybe it will come quicker? Either way IF they have plans to do a GSA you would think they would design the GS with it in mind so although it might come later there isn't any reason they couldn't be testing parts now.

The USA will get cruise, but may not get LED Headlight due to retarded US regulations
