You would have to be really stupid to go out hunting snow on a Grom. Luckily for me, I've got plenty of stupid to go around, so with the sun high in the sky, I headed West and upwards, in search of snow.

As I climbed up, I started to see bits, but not as much as I expected,

But started to see some more past Derwent Reservoir

Another 15 miles towards the moors, and it was starting to look promising

Until at last I found where the grit trucks stopped

It was a little 'interesting where is was a little deeper. The little wheels of the grom don't ride over the top of anything,

    but the views were good,

got a bit too 'interesting' half a mile after this, where there was a steep decline, so turned around

    Bye bye snow

and back on the main road,

Threads that start like this are usually always interesting. I honestly think whipping around on a Grom in the snow sounds like a great idea and a good way to spend an afternoon, but some would say I also have an overabundance of stupid .

Looks like a fun ride. I have ridden in the snow many times and it's more fun on a small lightweight bike.

Yup, like just about any other situation aside of freeway going straight.

Nice ride on the little bike.

Being able to put both feet on the ground when the bike is about to slip from under you stopped me dropping it a few times. I wouldn't like to do this on a proper sized bike
