D, do you know where I can get a button-snap that closes the pants (Sand pants), then you zip up the zipper? Do you sell these, if so, how much? If not, where can I get a replacement button-snap? Thanks!
I can probably get this button from Rev'it! How old are your pants? You could still be under warranty. Is this male or female part you are after? Cheers, Dennis
Not sure how old the pants are, got them used from a friend,, just needing the female button-snap, if you could help, it would be completely awesome. Thanks for getting involved!
Just looked through my assortment of Rev'it! buttons and snaps and it turned out I only have one left. It's your lucky day, it's female snap for SAND pants Now perhaps you should buy yourself a pair of Rev'it! socks so I can send it along D.
Looking at the Sand jacket and have a question on sizing. I'm 6', 200lbs, with a 41 1/2 to 42" chest. The sizing chart shows I could go with either a L or XL. My wife says I always buy my gear too big. I'm currently wearing a Harley FXRG size L that fits very well. I also wear a TourMaster Flex Series 2 in L but that jacket fits fairly large on me. Any ideas? Thanks.
You can go with either size depending on how you like your gear to fit and how you are going to use it. If you intend to ride in cold conditions, XL will have more room for extra layers. L will fit nice and snug with all the liners in, and once you remove them it will fit perfect. If you do not like tight fitting stuff go with XL, it will be more comfortable. I would go with L D.
Over the years I have enjoyed enormous support from fellow ADV Riders. Thanks to you, Beach Moto is bigger and better than ever Because our retail store now offers a lot more than just Rev'it! we created separate web site for our local Southern California brick and mortar store to show what we actually have to offer. Check it out and spread the word. Cheers, D.
Bought a Sand jacket last year and its been working well but I just bought a new pair of summer gloves. No gauntlet and now my sleeves keep unzipping as I'm riding. Any hint or tip to keep the sleeve zips zipped? All my other gloves are gauntlet so the zippers stay zipped. Thanks.
It depends on the style of zipper you have. If the pull has black plastic cover on it, just flip it back and it should lock it. If it's all metal there is not much you can do.
It's metal with a black plastic cover, but no locking pin. The zippers on the chest vents do have a locking pin. I'll have to switch jackets for summer cause it consistently unzips. Please send a comment back to HQ that they really don't need a locking pin on the vent zippers but it would be most beneficial on the sleeve zippers. Thanks.
Hey gang, I have a Revit Airwave that I got off an inmate that is about three seasons old. I like the jacket but the sizing has never really fit me that great for this model. Can anyone provide me with an alternative summer type mesh jacket recommendations from Revit. I am looking at the Tarmac Air, Turbine and Tornado. I would ideally like one that is more of a US style fit rather than the Euro fit. All advice is appreciated.
Just in case anyone cares, I noticed that Rev'IT! has updated their website. A new jacket that is interesting for those looking for an off-road jacket along the lines of the a Klim Badlands (maybe not so hard core) called the Poseidon GTX has shown up. GoreTex 2L Pro, good venting, a colour other than black 40% less than a Badlands Pro (in the EU at least). If you like me believe a waterproof layer belongs on the outside next to the water and not between your skin and a soggy, cold outer layer of fabric, then this jacket may be worth a look. Where I live, it makes the most sense to me to wear a pro-shell style garment; if you live somewhere where this is not the case, please don't write a rant that only a removeable liners makes sense and anyone looking for a pro-shell must be a complete idiot and should be beaten, then shot, lit on fire, etc. The bad news is a vendors website I came across when I tried to find out the MSRP (about 700 Euro) stated the jacket will be available in late October.
What you think of using long REV'IT coat jackets: REV'IT MANHATTAN http://www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf...bProducts/Revit-Manhattan-Textile-Jacket-0001 http://www.revit.eu/it/manhattan/#/manhattan REV'IT AVENUE http://www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/10207048/Products/Revit-Avenue-Gore-Tex-Textile-Jacket/SubProducts/Revit-Avenue-Gore-Tex-Textile-Jacket-0001 http://www.revit.eu/en/#/products/FJT145 What I am worrying about - is: when you fall down, the jacket can easily leave your back or front - open - as it is loose in bottom part. Also - elbow protectors seem to be loose, when you do not use liner - no velcro on sleeves. What you think?
Where are you located? If you are in good old USA, you have zero chance of getting these models here so you have nothing to worry about. To answer your question in general, every jacket presents some kind of compromise. Urban looking jackets are more fashinable but offer less protection. Racing jackets are more protective but look a little outrageous in the city. It's up to you to decide what style you are gong to use, there is no one garment that does everything to the max. On another note we just received some long anticipted Rev'it! jeans
