    How about this one: :pope

:clap Carlton retweeted the link to our RallyRAIDio interview last night. He must have listened to it after the "big show" on Eurosport. Carlton is a PynFan!! :clap

We're up in the mountains with the fam, but I've hijacked someones wifi connection so I could log in and upload Pyn's call tonight. :hide

He cleared the stage @ 1509L. 204 km liaison. Call it 1800L by the time he hits the biv. Service, roadbook, couple of meals, shower. Earliest 2100L that gets done. He's been great with always calling in for a couple of minutes, bet he did before he racked out (2300L there now).

But with Nate on a fambly sabbatical, and Flood living on the wrong side of the ocean...yeah, expect something around 0100 est.

Edit: Hope your wife don't catch you, Nate. :lol3

I don't think Pyndad had to deal with it. WP suspension had a factory support truck there, and they repaired Lyndon's forks for him. How's that for customer service?! :deal

An upbeat Lyndon calls in on the Penultimate day of the rally. After his miraculous (and rally-saving) mechanical repair yesterday, he started well down the field today and had to contend with a lot of dust, passing 40 bikes and quads through the course of the stage. One day to go, and Lyndon knows it's not over until the finishers medal (which is satisfyingly heavy, as Ned Suesse informed us last year) is in his hand. Keep it steady, Lyndon, and thanks for the ride!

Yeah heard that in Pyndon's great call-in. :clap
WP had their rep on the line there, so I'm sure they fixed it pronto.

Pyn sounds a bit tired (who wouldn't be!) but still his calm collected self. I'm sure he will finish in style.

Thanks Nate for jacking some WiFi and getting this to us! :thumb

    Pyn to Santiago!! :pynd

She brought me a beer while I was posting the call. :freaky :raabia

This is her (only) favorite part of the Dakar. The End. :mrskbasa

To be fair, she was passing Flood's RallyRAIDio tweets/FB posts on to me as we were driving in the car, before we lost service. :webers

Sorry to have missed the day, but I really can't complain. I've skied a lot of awesome places in my time, but none of them have been as rewarding as cruising greens and blues with PackKid #1. Third time on skis, and she's ripping it (we shouldn't be surprised, she started riding a bike w/o training wheels at 2 1/2 yrs old).

I imagine Lyndon and PynDad would approve of my absence:

Always nice when a small enthusiast's operation like CNN picks up your image and puts it in their Dakar Rally slideshow* :huh

Now with the right management, a few greased palms, and a lucky break or two I believe the lad could one day be rescued from the obscurity of small-timers like CNN and aspire to get some really widespread coverage :brow

    :D

PS - Between the wheelies and the "Air Poskitt" photos, I am convinced the man has never worn out a tire in his life...like Ned and a few others they only change them when the style of knobby goes out of fashion :lol3 :deal :lol3

    Wow, what a ride!

    First Dakar.

    A top ten finish.

    A high speed biff.

A rally ending breakdown, ziptied into submission.

    A full Dakar experience.

And getting to do it all as the ultimate Father and son vacation!

I just don't know how you improve on that...

Nicely done Sir. :freaky Carry on.

NJ beat me to it...while I was screwing around with syntax and grammar...as usual :lol3 :baldy :lol3

Jeez, between Pyndon and the Webbers (who have been known to carve new wheel bearing journals with a Barlow Knife when one failed 40 miles south of BFE) I am convinced that either a Space Shuttle or a Nuclear Submarine could be fashioned from the contents of the average garden shed and a few common household cleaning products :bow

I love listening to the radio call-ins PackMule! After hearing Lyndon say "This is Lyndon calling" a few times, and having grown up on The Clash :super, I had an idea. I don't have the correct fonts to do it up proper, but I threw his together just for "chirpy giggles" :evil

That is inspired!! and would be great on the front page.

Speaking of which I have posted in pics pics pics, ask Baldy and even sent Baldy a PM about devoting a day of the front page photos as a celebration of Lyndon's achievements with no success. Does anyone here know any of the Mods that might be able to pull it off?

I sent a tweet to Lyndon just before the start and just before the last stage the message is the same

    Go steady!

Edit - Just checked out who the mods are on this part of ADV !!:rofl:rofl think they might be Pyn fans!!
