Sorry to see Quinn in a car...course, can't say as I blame him after that pirouette 360 knack knack he performed last year! :eek1 He proved he could mix it up with the big boys even in his first Dakar.
It's possible that last year had an influence but my guess is that it was the repeated injuries over the last year that have prevented him from riding at the level necessary to compete in DAKAR. More likely he took the car NAV role to keep his NAV skills honed and stay close to the action. My bet is we'll see Quinn back on a bike.
Regardless he is a class act guy, wish him success for the Dakar this year and maybe next back on two wheels!!

Thanks for giving me some local guys to cheer for! Why are there no quads from the US entered? Seems like it would be an easier path than riding a bike
