Maps ?

I am looking for detailed maps of Mexico , Guatemala, and maybe further south, From what I have read so far it looks like Guatemala is the place to spend a lot of time in, cheap and very friendly people... where do I find good maps, I will have my GPS and a labtop so that will help but I like to look at maps... I got a little time to hook up with some as my Depart date is not until 11-01-13 .......

You guys are not much help, I am going to the Harley site for maps,
Then to the BMW site and then ask the KTM people about maps a KLR rider can use,,,, I am just going to piss them all off with my Kawasaki.
Now where can I find the dam maps,,,,

I liked the e32 maps for Mexico, that's for the GPS, there not routeable but worked very well.
If looking for paper maps I go to amazon and order the Nat Geo maps, they seem to be pretty accurate.

well you could buy the guia roji and that is paper maps for Mexico, they are good unless you want to go off road or off the beaten path.

Bici Maps do the best job of covering Mexico. They also include decent coverage of Central America. Used them all the way through Panama. The other free site for "everywhere" is Openstreet - free and pretty good in some countries.

Thanking about taking a GPS with me also, My new Garmin 1490 is very easy to use, I have an old Garmin 2620 lot harder to use but its old and if it craped out oh well...
Got on amazon and I could spend major bucks on all the books and maps on the site,

For paper maps of Mexico I recommend the Guia Roji atlas and if they are still
printing them a copy of Quimera road atlas of Mexico.
Both offer sufficient detail for all highways and most main backcountry connectors
to give you a frame of reference . They leave the
really , really small back roads for you to investigate.
ITMB also puts out quality maps for Central America as a unit and
More detail for individual countries.
Remember though that no map, paper or digital, will be absolutely accurate
or have every small road or track . Do not ask to be spoonfed every meter of the way, it is about adventure travel afterall.But as long as you know where you are and
how you got there you will be fine if you keep fuel in your tank.
