Are there any trails in the Winston-Salem, King area? Got XR650L that needs to get dirty.

I don't know of any trails off hand, but I'd happily meet up with locals to ride. I would be open to making a day trip out to brushy mtn. or something, weather permitting of course.

We are riding up Pipers Gap Rd and BRP on 1/12/12 meeting at the Walmart on Hanes Mill Rd. in Winston-Salem at 10AM everybody is welcome to tag along.

Great ride this weekend, we cruised up to lover's leap. Will probably do this every other weekend depending on weather.

Anybody ever been to Ivanhoe?

Yep, I played the VA TOR that took me to the Busbee Hydro Plant in Ivanhoe. I rode 97n to Galax then 94 to Ivanhoe then 69 to 52 to BRP down Wards Gap to 89 to 66 to home. Great loop and some fun side back rodes.

I found a trail in Tobaccoville beside an abandoned rail line that appears to be used regularly by ATVs!

I live & work in Winston. Always open to riding with some new friends! Post up any get-togethers, love to meet some of you. Not done any off road riding but would like to give it a try. Got a 650 V-Strom. Some day I'd like to have the equipment & gear to do the camping thing with my bike.

I'm in Kernersville, w*rk has killed my riding here lately, but do get to ride to work just about every day and get out most of the year.

I just need to get a dirt bike...

Was able to get out for a decent ride this past Friday. I made my way to Elkin then took 268 over to Traphill and up 21 almost to Lowgap, here's a pic from the lookout heading up the mountain.




I passed a guy on a Kawasaki DP on 21 heading towards Lowgap, on the way back in Booneville I saw a guy on a sweet KTM that looked to be all farkled out.

Was a good day for riding, at least for me. As I was heading out of town I saw a guy on a Harley run all up into the back of a truck on Reynolda road. Took three of us to get his bike up and out of traffic. I didn't see the accident take place so I didn't stick around very long, just long enough to see that the rider was sitting up on his own talking to the paramedics. Hope he's alright and can get back on his bike soon.
