I am curious how far each one has to travel to nearest practice area and to nearest local club event. In my case its 200 feet to nearest riding area (2000 acres) and 200 miles to nearest club event

About 40 miles to the (world class) practice area (San Ysidro) and there on out to 200 miles for some of the events. Spoiled, huh :D

I have 85 acres of World level riding out my front door. Smages come here occasionally to train on stuff I'm afraid to walk on. Nearest event is maybe 25 miles, but I never go to it, because I'm always in CO that week.:cry

And with all this at my disposal, I still suck.

I've got good play/practice areas at home. There are several events within 2 hours of driving from home. I'm pretty fortunate. :D

I do some riding in the back yard, but about all that is good for is making turns. Started landscaping and it is going away.

    Good practice, 90 minutes away.

Events, closest is 90 minutes, furthest is a tank of gas away.

Dubuque, IA means your 85 acres is possibly in the steep terrain of the driftless area bypassed by the glaciers during the last ice age. Nice!

My land is very old, not having had any glaciation, maybe ever. The black rocks in my area are reported to have cooled 700 million years ago.

    I envy your big trees!
