Anyone have their bike stolen lately? I woke up to two guys cutting my chain that secures my bike to my truck. Nasty angle grinder noise at 1am. I yelled out my window and ran outside. They were gone when I got there. They took my lock and the bike was laying on the ground. broke my clutch lever and scuffed the hell out of it. 3 years ago they stole my 640 Adventure. Im sick of thieves.

Anyone have lojack and recommend it? I am thinking about getting a decoy bike and putting lojack in it and put it out for someone to take.

LIC in Queens. The police station is one block away too! My adrenaline was crazy. I've had too much stuff stolen from me over the years and needed to confront this one.

never would have thought, lic is pretty quite, especially that neighborhood near the police station (assuming near vernon.) at least you stopped it but they will strike again.

wonder if running two independent chains would make a difference. it would take twice as long that's for sure

+1, I would definitely double or triple up on those chains with individual locks.

Hey ini88. Im in LIC too and have often seen your bike chained to the truck. I thought the idea was brilliant. Do you live in a building with indoor parking? Maybe time to park it out of sight.
