Ok... What is the seasonal weather in Southern Chile and Argentina.

    Acceptable months before snow hits?

    Thanks Lem

It has been known to snow in March while really far south. Some snow fell on the pass to Ushuaia the day before I reached Ushuaia on March 1st, but quickly melted.

It is really cold and really windy in southern Patagonia during the whole summer. It is inaccurate to base a southern latitude down there to an equal latitude in the north. SA is so skinny down there and being further south than any other continent the wind just whips around the globe with no obstruction and the land mass hold no heat.

You should pose more specific Latin America questions in the Regional --> Latin America forum. There is a wealth of knowledge from all the guys that have rode down there.
