When you change the oil, ask for a "Filter Kit", BMW sells the filter with all the new seals and washers you need. Its a couple bucks extra than just a filter, but its a good idea to replace the seals with each change. Any BMW dealer will have the seal kit.

One thing I noticed on the last one is it didnt have a crush washer for the bottom, maybe it was just missing from my kit - strange.

Yeah, I only got two days of cold weather testing in and now it's 80° outside! Not that I'm complaining...

Well, you know what they say. If you don't like the weather out here, wait five minutes.

Looks great, like the windscreen, wonder if they make that for the four hole model? You just need to get it dirty now, it just doesn't look right that clean!

I have the same ride! All you need are the additional PIAA lights.

    Hey guys.

I usually hang out in the Parrallel Universe but have a specific Single question. I'm selling one RH OEM plastic sidecase from a 2010 G bike for a friend. The parts fiche lists two different bags, one for the older F bikes and early G, then another bag for 2010 +. It looks like the same bag I had on my Dakar but all plastic.

My Q is, will the new cases with the black lids fit the older bikes with the silver aluminum lids? Kinda like an updated look for the older F's.

    Thx.

Which bag exactly is that? Would you recommend it? And what is the leather thing on top of the triple tree? Edit: never mind that, looks like a keychain :)

It's a Two Brothers w/stash pipe Steve, it's from NB's website, so the info is probably there. I know there was a aftermarket dual exhaust avail but I haven't found it. NB has done extensive work on his GS/Dakar Conversion and was meticulous in documenting it all so it should be there. I think it's one of the most beautiful bikes (the red/black combo) out there.

nomad5326 thanks for the heads up of NB's site, I have never seen it before. I think I will be investing in one of his crap flaps. Cant go wrong for ten bucks.
