JLo would need to participate in Q1 and/or Q2 today in order to participate in the race tomorrow, right?

wow, that Marquez highside was also brutal... very glad to see him walk away from there, albeit clearly banged up.

they showed MM back in the pits a few minutes ago, the expression on his face was of pain, he limped out holding his left buttocks, probably headed to the medical center.

OK, QMMF rider Sucipto. Suspected broken leg. Was moving and conscious after the crash.

Too many serious crashes already, and it´s just half-way through this weekend.

If the rumours turn out to be true, and JLo is actually trying to race (and he´s one tough cookie, if he does!), then it is interesting that he has the fastest combined practice time, as fastest times were all set on FP1, and this means he would be starting from 12th on the grid, even if he skips qualifying, right (or do the rules state, that a rider has to participate in QP1 or QP2 and set a lap time there, in order to line up on the starting grid.........?) :ear

On the Crash.net site, someone commented/ questioned if JLo were to be cleared to race but not feeling very competitive, would it be possible for him to take a 6th engine and start from pit lane? That way the weekend wouldn't be a total loss.

But then again he would have to work through the squiddley part of the pack if he was able to actually continue. Or just complete a few laps and come away from Assen with an additional engine.

Or is this idea just ridiculous?

Every "comment" on Crash is utterly ridiculous. :deal

However, there are a lot of people suggesting just that.

No shame in exploiting the rule book to the fullest.

If Jorge' shows up and races tomorrow, I will be truly shocked. Would be cool to see, though.

MMs was big! And after the little discussion about high sides previously, just goes to show; a high side is still a high side, no matter what you're riding.
    That hurt!:huh

Yes, but only if he does not end up injuring himself further.

Definitely don't want to see that. But if it made the difference in him retaining the WC this year it would be the stuff of legends, Doohan-esque.

For the record, I do not think it is going to happen.
