Yep, the bike went back to PA. I think the guy is happy with it and I'm happy it has a new home.

Cool! I'll be the guy on the GSA with the tractor tires and ham radio antenna. Jeff Massey and I were plotting routes and lunch stops and I think we will have a really fun ride.

It won't be much longer. My boot comes off monday for 2 weeks then more xrays. The Dr said if none of the fractures look stressed, we'll see. I'm just glad to be rid of the crutches.

I camped along the side of the Rattlesnake Run Road. 39.792116,-77.476981
I don't know if it was legal or not but I haven't been hassled yet...just offered help by passersby. Caledonia State Park is just north of there and they have a ton of developed campgrounds and some nice trails to link up. Jax would be your best bet as far as legality goes. Alternatively you could also check out Catoctin Mtn St Park, Gambrill St. Park or Buchanan State Forest. I usually set up at dusk and roll out before dawn. YMMV.

If you think you're making some of us feel jealous, well....

Brings pleasant feelings to see those pics and hear of your amblings. Appreciate the posting of the coordinates, too.

Cunningham Falls is a nice park also, just south(across the street) of Catoctin Park. In MD, the only place to legally camp in a non designated site would be on the AT, which does run through that area.

DO NOT bandit camp in Catoctin Park. It is the home of the most guarded campsite in the country. Bandit camping could lead to a visit by a black Suburban occupied by guys with no sense of humor.:deal
