A couple rides "Out My Backdoor", nothing exciting.... However there have been very little activity here for several days... and the weather is good.

Took a li'l 65 mile trip towards Congress. Looking for another way into town other than the Stanton/Octave road. Several years ago you could jump on the highway near the old hotel. However someone has locked the gate there. So I ventured South for a way's to another gate I have used before... Locked also. So ended up just cruising around between the Hassamapa River and Stanton. There are way tooo many Crazzzy Gold Miners in that area. One had a BIG Damn dog that chassed me down the trail, luckly I was just a bit faster. It was one of those "Don't-Fail-Me-Now" moments!

Today, toward Aguila via dirt just outside of Wickenburg, Tow Limits. Flat cattle country, couple of railroad crossings, some mud holes. Just the usual for that area. Spent time searching for another way from Hwy 71 to Wickenburg. There are several old jeep roads between water tanks that will often connect. Here again I found locked gates near Forpaugh... I did find a new route to 71 but not the one I had intended, this came out further North than I had expected. Another 60+ mile ride, in awesome AZ weather! :clap

A few pix of todays ride, did not take any on Saturday.

Perhaps someone can tell me where I was from this marker?

Left Friday morning 8:00am, 25 degrees on my Kawicouch & headed to LA to watch my Grandson play some freshman basketball & attend the Monster Energy Supercross at Angel Stadium. My Son works for Monster Energy & had an extra ticket. Great time with Family & fun watching the Supercross handily won by Ryan Dungey. Last time I went to one of these it was at the LA Colusiem & was called The Super Bowl of Motocross 1972. Larry Huffman was the anouncer & Mickey Thompson one of the promoters. Man I must be old:eek1 Headed home early Sunday morning, 6 hours flat from Diamound Bar to Prescott. A little wet & could have made better time on my Ninja but I don't have one & would be off the side of a mountain if I did:eek1

Thanks for posting the "OLD " bikes, I particular liked the DKW as I raced one of those back in the 70 s . I was always a thrill to take it off a jump and have the leading link front fall out :lol3 loved the Greeves , mine was a mid 60s ---- yep "Real Bikes"

Thanks! When is the next get together? When is the next RIDE? I want to get out on the big bikes a bit more but need to be careful not to aggravate my tendonitis too much. We need to talk about Moab, too. :evil

Thanks, but I'll pass on the pie. :D I've read/written a few legal descriptions and done surveys. Plus they make you learn that stuff for a Real Estate License. I guess it stuck. And Google Earth has a cool add on that gives access to that data.

Here's the last apple pie I made (all Honeycrisp):

How do you get that in your coat pocket? :norton

I also know a thing or two about making Apple Pies... My family sometime allows me to assist with pie mak'n. That's me on the peeler/core machine. Made 29 fresh apple pies for the freezer this fall in Missouri. Peeled three 5 gallon buckets of apples!

They should teach how to bake awesome smelling pies for a RE license. My parents were selling a house one time and my mom had just baked pies when the realtor called to show the house. The people looking ended up buying the house with a contingency that they get a pie! :lol3

    that's ridiculous.

Hey Terry, is this where we stage out of when we go to Wildcat?

    On a much better note:
I went to get my bike emissioned yesterday and the nice lady that was doing my test tells me
"I bet you're glad this is your last year."

    -Say what?

"Yep. They're gonna pass the law around April."

    :clap
