9 of us saddled up at our leaders place Saturday morning, ready for an ADV ride out to Western Victoria via some of Jas's long list of back tracks.

Travelled down through the Otways - crisp perfect day for riding.

Some magic riding - we rode a few tracks twice looking for ways through. Headed down to Timboon for fuel. Everyone's tank well and truely spent. Fuel station found and never looked so good

We decided to head down to Peterborough to find a camp. Found one on dusk
A few shot of camp and coast early next morning

We rode from Peterborough - towards the madness that was PortFairy Folk Festival - got out of there quick and hit some harder sandy trails through the State Parks and Forests round Nelson

JCat loves to push his tyres to the limit - but this ride got caught out - Tyre totally rooted 15kms out of Balmoral

The third day on the bikes saw us tracking via back roads up thru the Grampians, via a place called Moyston ( which looked like it hadn't see any form of moisture for 50 years) and then south east to Skipton, then back to Leopold. Country is so dry - and hot - rode most of the day in 39 degrees celcius.

Thanks for putting the report and GREAT pics up Dave!
I'm glad ya's could all make it, its not easy to link stuff together out this side, not as easy as the high country anyway but still some awesome spots none the less.
Was an extremely warm and dusty weekend for riding, i think when you guys got back to my place a few of ya's had just about had enough?? Fair enough too, i think it was 38 degrees when ya's got here.

Drove to Balmoral this morning and picked up the pig after she had a sleep over.... It looks like D606 rears dont quite make 7500k's :D.
Just happy my tyre didnt impact on you blokes(and shiela, Jardine) too much and everyone else was able to finnish the ride.

    Cheers Jase

Next time you are challenged in the rubbery sense while down our way Jcat, call in and I will supply you with a second hand tyre. I have a selection in the shed. Just ask the guys in the BP in Portland where the dentist lives.

Awesome ride Jcat, the trip provided a bit of everything and stringing it all together beautifully with some great country lanes. My kind of ADV.

Heat and dust are just part of it and add to the adventure. And well planned to kill the tyre just outside Moyston so we could discuss it at the pub!

    Thanks for putting it together.

Nice to get a good look at the west side of the state as I`ve never really ridden over there . Thanks for putting the tracks together Jase .
I was lucky to make it back , my bike started running rough as we were coming into Geelong . It wouldn`t run when I got home . My fuel pump is stuffed . Second one in about 25000 km .
