Those prices are higher from what I know. Your prices are MSRP + Dealer profit.

How is this even possible for a bike MADE in Germany.

(I mean currency conversion loses, plus taxes, plus shipping... it should be more expensive in USA not the opposite)

Also they seem to be getting more sensible extras packs.

It's a big battle for marketshare in the U.S., for cars too and the consumer is the winner. Your country may also have higher customs duties or fees that increase the price as well. In the US we also have sales taxes added on to the prices noted....about 8% for me but varies by State and County.

US prices are before any taxes, setup, and fees. Some dealers call out up to $500 set up fee (rip off), taxes are different per state, license fee are a few hundred bucks, not that much.

Looks like when you calculate all that, the prices in the US are about 5% higher than in Germany (before tax). Not certain whether I'm basing on the correct data though, as I don't have official German pricing, just what I found online via a quick Google scan.

The premium plus is $485 more than the price of my 2011 GS, but my bike does not have cruise control or LED Headlight. Not a bad deal.

No more guessing on how much will I have to spend to own WC with my options

    1. Premium Package Plus:
    a) Heated hand grips
    b) Cruise control
    c) Saddle bag mounts
    d) Dynamic ESA
    e) On Board Computer Pro
    f) GPS PrepRation
    g) Hand protection
    h) Enduro ASC/Riding Modes
    i) TPM
    j) LED lights

    2. Low suspension
    3. Cross Spoke Wheels

That brings it to final take home price of $22,000. This constitutes basically a loaded bike. I might debate on the Anti-Theft-Alarm when it comes time for the dotted line.
