Here are the rules .

#1 NO FILE PHOTOS CAN BE USED TO GRAB A TAG. File tags may be used to place a tag.

#2 THE PHOTOS OF THE TAG SHALL BE AS CLOSE AS THE PREVIOUS TAG PHOTOS AS POSSIBLE. That means that the tagger needs to make sure that his photo can be shot be anyone on any bike. The taggers bike needs to be in the photo. If a road is goverment maintained and legal to ride than it is fair game. Gravel or not. Also tell us where the tag was.

#3 NO WHINING.

#4 KEEP IT MOVING. If you grab a tag, post the next one within 12 hours. If you don't post the new tag within 12 hours, you forfeit your tag to the previous tagger.
If a tag is standing too long you will be asked to post a clue or a new tag.

#5 HE WHO POSTS FIRST WINS. It does not matter who got to it first, He who posts first wins the tag.

The geographic area for this game is the map below. All tags must be within the area shown in the map below.

The map covers all of Wake, Durham, and Orange Counties.

It also covers:
Chatham East of Rt. 421
Harnett north of the Cape Fear River and west of I-95
Johnston west of I-95
Franklin south of Rt. 56
Granville south of Rt. 56 from Butner east. From Butner west to Durham County south of 33'rd and Range Roads.

Highway 54 in Morrisville just past the intersection at Avation Pkwy. Right across the street from the little park.

New tag in a few hours.

Excellent idea! I like this idea, a lot. I only have the XRL right now and it sure as hell isn't set up for 400 mile rides! Triangle tag....great idea! Love the rules too!

Slightly off topic...won't this this often, I promise:

We need to organize some dual/off road rides around the Triangle soon...weather is finally decent!

If you would have looked right across the street you could have seen a real bike shop. J&D Cycles

Jimmy is the real deal. Looks like a Harley only shop but he can rebuild an old panhead, rides a Buell, and can jump over you on his CRF450:lol3

Stop in sometime

This tag should be easy for most. You better get there fast. You may be riding around in circles trying to find the photo placement. In the old days it used to be down and dirty. It was built in 1962. The road shares the name of the family that built the place. In 1987 it became a little less dirty. But no denying, there's still plenty of action to be found here.

Have fun. Should be easy. I'll check back later.

I am not too worried about it... No one seemed too keen for a second tag at the time so I left it.

The bike comes back hopefully Friday but it might be Monday...

"The geographic area for this game follows. Since you might not have the map with you when you ride, a mile or two out is ok but let's try to keep things inside as much as possible so that people can grab the tags before/after work."

So just what are the boundary areas? If I grab a triangle tag can I take it to Clayton, Roxboro or Franklinton? or is it a strict Raleigh/Durham only?

The current tag is only 40 miles from me just wondering where I can take it IF I go after it.

There's a map in the first post.

I'm fully aware of rule #3, but I would have preferred to see more eastern territory on the map instead of western. :evil
