2013 Nottarally Rides (general)


There are no official rides since this is nottarally. We have individuals with local knowledge who go on rides, and you are welcome to join them.
We also encourage you to explore on your own or in small groups.

Ride leaders please depart within 10 or 15 minutes of meeting time so you don't hold up other rides!

KTM Mike's Ride:

THURS & FRI & SAT, weather permitting.

ALL TWISTY Pavement, Gravel, & maybe a few Forest Roads

RIDE DETAILS:

SAFETY IS FIRST: Please, no crazy stuff, no tailgating. Ride at your own safe pace, someone will be waiting at the next turnoff.

RIDING TOGETHER: If the guy in front of you stops, please stop with him, and everyone behind you will stop too, then leaders will return.
This way breakdowns will not end in chaos. This ride will move fairly quickly, but it is not a race. Work together.
This ride has 50 or 60 turns. We use a relay system to keep everyone together.

DEPARTURE: Meet THURSDAY AFTERNOON at 1PM, AND FRIDAY at 9AM, AND SATURDAY at 9AM at the STAGE/BANDSHELL in the middle of the campground, and we will try to leave within ten minutes.

BIKES: Adventurebikes, Supermotos, Hypermotos, Dualsports. (no Cruisers, no Sportbikes, no Dressers please) Leave the luggage behind please.

TIRES: Dualsport tires of some sort (full knobbies are probably not necessary and street tires are not advisable this year because some of the gravel roads became extremely saturated and rutted due to excessive rains this summer).

FUEL: Please fill up your fueltank the night before. Your range should be at least 80 miles. Please bring cash for gas because many rural gas stations do not accept credit or debit cards.

LUNCH: Carry snacks & drink in case of delays. We will try to stop someplace quick & not fancy around lunchtime.


SPLITTING EARLY: If you decide to return to camp early, stop and tell the sweep. Bring maps so you can find your way back.
