I just realized that the front wheel iznot touching the ground :huh somebody's been hanging around boobieO for too long
40 psi in a 3.00 tube (not HD), with a HD tube cut and wrapped around it. Mine is holding up just fine on the 525. It's a tad frustrating though.
Woohoo....way to go guys. Good to see you rippin' up the ice. I'm going to have to give this a shot.......
Bullshit!! You've been invited for 4 years! You actually showed up once and I begged you to take my bike for a ride..........
Holy crap! 40 psi? I never ran more than 30.... Hard ice = 25 psi Soft ice = 30 psi I ran a set of tires for 3 years and never spun them once. Same tube! Who made your tires??
30 psi is what the Numb Bum dude told us to run (I was going to say it was him that suggested 40, but I reread the email just now, and I f'd up. Oh well, mine is doing great, but I'll drop it down. He says he uses 50 psi to build the tire, to get the liner good and tight for screwing). I made the tires. Shinko 520 with Fournier MF1 screws. Mine is fine, but the flex caused by flats is cracking knobs, so I'm going to do it again, and pay special attention to the way the liner is cut, so it's smoother against the inside of the tire. Although it's a little frustrating, I actually am having fun learning. I could have bought tires, bit this is good too. I'll rebuild it, but then if there is any more trouble, I'll order some. We aren't really having winter here anyhow, so I'm not missing out on much. There was a crack in one part of the pond, and a few hours later, it had 2 feet of water on top pushing the ice down.
Medicine Hat. The pond has about 8" of ice, and there is a fair sized reservoir I fly over when I'm working, and it's half open water. It's 8 o'clock at night, and it's still 3ยบ outside. WTF!! This is the first year I actually wanted winter, and we have only had 3 dustings of snow that lasted a few days each, and there is nothing left, not even in the valleys. Very strange. Teenagers aren't even wearing jackets to school.
Great pic.s guys looks like a ball, great to see the KLR out there. We were up your way last week Ian, no bikes though, just these things Cheers, Todd
I know you know whats gonna happen, I'll take someone's bike for a spin, get hooked, buy one and then end up getting a sumo setup and then...........
102 & 103 intersection, was there yesterday, you were 20min to the south by sled to me. Next time stop in for a cold one
