Thank You. We took a bunch of video this afternoon in the dirt. I'll post it ASAP. I ended up sticking a 30AH battery where the stock one was.
Is that a receiver hitch on the back of the hack? Niiiiiiiice. Whatcha gonna tow or is it just for recovery in the event of getting stuck? Sweet looking rig.
For what reason you want to use this? If you need it for some load, it will come down by vibrations. Sooner or later. . . On road later, Off-Road. . .

I don't think English is Hortons first language and he's nervous about the fender mock up tack.DB On another note what gear set did you end up with in the final drive ? And those tires that appear to be blizzaks how do they like the soft going ? By taking the monolever out of her does she act like and old BMW's and jack herself up ? thanks.DB
Gotcha. Stock gearing. 7000rpm is 95mph. I wish it was a little lower geared for offroading. The tires are great on and offroad. I have not noticed any jacking effect, but I am also used to old Boxers. Out of the many rigs I have built this has to be one of the most neutral handling of any of them.
I ran my GS rig w/o a real front fender for awhile (used just the beak). I'm running a Heidenau knobby on the front. The front wheel would throw up all kinds of dust and dirt into the driver's cockpit to the point of getting sand in my eyes w/ a full-coverage helmet on. Did you experienced anything like that w/ the car wheel?
Wow! Fantastic! Just curious--about how many tires do you think you can air up from 20 lbs to 40 lbs before you need to plug in the compressor and recharge the tank? Also curious about how long it takes to air up a tire with the tank? With the tiny little compressor I carry (Airman Sparrow), it takes like 3-4 minutes to air up a rear tire from 20 to 40. I'm just picturing Raph on a Rawhyde trip at the end of a long dirt section walking around from bike to bike with his portable air "suitcase" airing up all the GS's before they slab it into town for lobster and champagne.
I would guess that you could fill 6-10 tires on one tank full. The tank has 130-150 pounds of air pressure I would think less than a minute.
They do. And, no, I'm not tellin'! Chris, now the rig's delivered, you got nothing to do, right? Howzabout edit those vids and get them up here so the rest of us can drool some more!
