My lovely hometown!A dream City!I miss you so much.Every time I visit you,I feel myself much more stranger in you....And so goes on my sentences in me that I can't reveal. It has changed so much;everything, every corner.Getting more cosmopolitan day by day leaving back no more traces from my childhood. And, I want that Istanbul that I had once had.
Last spring I visited the Princess Islands and the last time I visited the islands was about 20 years ago.Admittedly, these islands are still the only places that have changed the least.
Let's go on with the pics.I hope you ll enjoy them.
For more information on the islands, visit here:

These shots above are from the European side of the city named as Sultanahmet and Eminönü.Two famous mosques:The Blue Mosque and St.Hagia Sophia behind the ferryboat.
And now with the Asian side:
A very famous building in this part:Haydarpaşa Central Train Station.

As soon as the ferry arrived on the first island,I noticed a gull waiting for us...Just on time.Seems very serious. His father should be an eagle,I bet.
Look who is it waiting for!!!
In ten seconds the port is full of cats and gulls around this lady. She was feeding them.Gulls and cats sharing the food.

Horsecarts are the only means of transportation. No moto vehicles are allowed on the island. Not even bikes or scooters.
    Houses,mansions let's say,are stunning.

    Horseman,riding too fast.A vibey shot.Sorry for that.

I was on Princess island about 20 years ago and I do recall there were no motorized vehicles allowed. I'm surprised it's still that way to day! :thumb Thanks for the pics and the memories.

Sorry, missed that bit way down in the post.
Love pics from around the world, but didn't realise about the no motor vehicles bit. It is a bike forum after all.

The rest below were taken while climbing up ''the road to perdition''.This pseudonym matches the road.
You should think about your wishes while you climb up the road.
You shouldn't talk to anyone while you are on the road climbing up,otherwise your dreams wouldn't come true.People say so...:huh

''Hristos''A very large wooden building served the minority as an orphanage.Islanders claim it as the worlds largest wooden building but it's in decay today.I didn't have a chance to see it in close shot as it's at the top of a mountain.Almost impossible to get there on bike and carts don't go there.

Reaching the Ayia Yorgi Monastery.Inside, lies a history and treasure but no cameras allowed inside unfortunately.A monk followed me all the time as if I were a suspect.Damn...
