Trying to rebuild my carb on a 1982 Yamaha DT80 and can not find parts. Need a rebuild kit or replacment jets (stock settings). Does anyone know a dealer who stock these parts or replacement carbs for this mini?

You might have better luck if you search for the proper model: GT80. I don't think there ever was a DT80.

My neighbor has a GT80 and it has a Mikuni round slide carb as do many of the early Yamahas...Jets for those are stocked in most bike shops, the decent ones anyway...Sudco carries tons of Mikuni carb parts...

Wow. That was about the time they started stripping the DT models and selling them as MX (offroad only). Musta' happened then and I missed it.

Same point: not a thing on Ebay listed under DT80 but, lots under GT80.

Oh, I believe you. I'm wondering if they didn't sell them in California for emissions reasons or something. I was a HUGE Yamaha fan at the time and actually collected the brochures every year until they stopped producing individual model pages.

My first bike was a JT-1 (the GT80 predecessor), Dad had a '75 DT125 and I lusted hard for the 1979 DT100 before skipping to a YZ125 and my sister ended up getting a 1980 DT100. I knew the series very well, just don't remember ever seeing it in street legal form.
