Gwenduro, jenduro: you can tell li'l Eleanor that uncle Ned has 180,000 ADVriders watching over him.
He won't be riding alone, not even a second.

Q I hear ya. My wife knows she will be a Dakar F5 Widow for 2 weeks and my coworkers know from past years that I'm rather distracted at work during those weeks. Good thing it's at the start of the year when things are slower biz-wise.

As for videos, they are being collected here:

I'm happy to post the ones that I find, but usually (as cyborg notes), the "Dakar media" thread is the first/best place to check...

...and a big ADVRider welcome to the 'duro clan! Aren't you glad he didn't pick a crummy ADV alias? (I always laugh when I think of inmate FatChance's family. I think I remember a post where he referred to his spouse as "FatWife"! :eek1)

Ned! I love that you're running the high fender. Way cool. Think different. :bow It's one of your strengths. I would suggest a set of these as well...

...but they probably wouldn't pass scrutineering. :hmmmmm That said, I can attest that leather tassels are the best dirt bike upgrade EVER.

:1drink... just a little humor to help shift your focus from the frustration and anxiety of the delayed container to the exhilaration and joy of your upcoming ride.

    All the best, bro.

I've already checked (and put the time zones on my desktop for quick reference): Argentina is GMT-3, no daylight savings time. Chile is an hour off, but observes DST, so they are on the same time. Problem is, Peru is 2 hours off (GMT-5), so there'll be all kinds of confusion in our coverage.

Traditionally, rallies follow their own time standard, usually that of the country where the start is. I don't know how the Dakar will handle the start times this year.
