After a tart up, has a rough tank on to save the good one.

It works both ways because when you do find a complied one a) few people want an AG200, and b) the owners don't usually know its rare.

So you usually pay the same as a non-complied bike. That one of yours has come up pretty well - nice work.

The only real hold up is finding a kickstart shaft, spring and idler gear now.
Sadly, all wreckers I have contacted have given such poor service, I doubt I'd buy from them even if they had the part at a realistic price now.
I did get good service and pricing from a couple on US eBay, so I might have to go back there for the bits.

Other than that, a few more hours in the day would help. :lol3

I see the grey one has a square headlight, that original? They are both too far away from me.

Yep, the square headlight is original on the grey and blue ones I linked to. If you look closely you will see the high beam and turn indicators bodged into the top of the headlight case!

All the early, yellow AG200s had compliance plates but they are getting on a bit now, no electric start, 6V and a smaller front wheel/brake. The later blue ones are the ones to get.

Im in Brissy at the moment and am thinking about bringing that blue one back to Vic with me!

Just found out the other day from an old retired, country Yamaha dealer, that the common smashed case issue with these early bikes was linked to a faulty CDI unit. They used to dial in too much advance and backfire on start up and smash the cases.

Start your rebuilt bike with care!

    Sorry, no.
Been really busy with work but have done some work on the engine internals.
Just about ready to paint the cases and reassemble. :D
Once a get a bit more assembly done, I'll take some more pics.
